One day, I came home in tears after suffering a small bullying incident. It upset me enough to cry and, when questioned by my mom, I told her that a girl in the washroom had made fun of my clothes. She got me to calm down and asked me why did it matter to me what that girl had said. Did I really care about someone’s opinion on my clothes? Continue reading “Bullying”

PEOPLE, people everywhere! Wherever we go, whatever we do, we are constantly being impacted by others. Interacting and working with them represents for my life the best comforts, the toughest challenges, the biggest lessons, the greatest resources, and more. When I was young, I was a shy, withdrawn kid and I mostly kept to myself. Over the years, I have transformed into a more assured person who loves interacting with people. I now understand and appreciate my own disposition to listen more and talk less, especially in group conversations. I know that I want to be genuine with other people and work towards mutually beneficial scenarios. I relish interesting chats and I enjoy learning from and teaching others. And I am learning to read people and understand personalities, which can be quite challenging for me especially when things get political.
A key lesson for me has been that how we treat people and how we let them treat us is a key factor for success and quality of life. That is why I chose People as a key topic for my blog. I want to continue to understand the psychology of people better and apply it to my life. I will share readings, ideas and incidents. How should I behave towards other people? Why do people behave certain ways and how should I interpret and react to it? How can I learn from the positive habits and success of others and use them as role models to create success within my own life? What kind of people and relationships do I want in my life and how can I build and nurture them? I will ponder and practice all this and much more.
