Is there any fact of life that you would have the comfort of knowing as certainly true? I recently read the book called What I Know for Sure by Oprah Winfrey. Naturally, right from the cover of the book, I put the question to myself: if anything, what would I say I did know for sure? After some thought, I realized that there were some facets of life that I would bet my bottom dollar on.
I get quite disappointed in myself the moment I realize that I have passed hours, or sometimes days or weeks really, without sticking to my goals and making any progress that I can feel good about. I had never heard of this book before but it came to me as a prize for a drawing contest at the local library when I was a kid. I took notice of it many years later in my grand library of two shelves. Since then, I have read it several times and thoroughly enjoyed it.
