“I’m not very creative” doesn’t work. There’s no such thing as creative and non-creative people. There are only people who use their creativity and people who don’t. Unused creativity doesn’t just disappear. It lives within us till it’s expressed, neglected to death, or suffocated by resentment and fear. The only unique contribution that we will ever make in this world will be born of our creativity.

Don’t be sad it left your life, be happy for having it and its sweet memories.
Don’t be jealous. If you want it, work for it and you could attain it too.
Don’t wait to be happy when you have it all. Feel it now.
Little by little, life settles into a pattern and sometimes I don’t even realize the road I am travelling on. Then, one day, something just shakes me awake. I open my eyes and see what’s become the norm and wonder how I kept walking down this path so far, so blindly. I see the power that this new unwanted place has over me. Where did I go so wrong? How did I get here? The last I remember, I felt good and hopeful about where I was going and this was not that path.
I am back from vacation and I promise you that this blog is not going to be so quiet anymore. In coming posts, I will be sharing more about what I did and learned during my trip. I see my unrealized dreams and ambitions reflected in this story. I know that I do not want to be this person but I cannot confidently tell myself that where I stand in life is very different from the position depicted here.
Take your time.
Do things right.
Love as much as you can, as often as you can.
Radiate vibrance, speak words of truth, live with joy.
Is there any fact of life that you would have the comfort of knowing as certainly true? I recently read the book called What I Know for Sure by Oprah Winfrey. Naturally, right from the cover of the book, I put the question to myself: if anything, what would I say I did know for sure? After some thought, I realized that there were some facets of life that I would bet my bottom dollar on.
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. – Marie Robinson
Even if you cannot change your past, everyday is an opportunity for you to change how to carry forward the past, what you make of it, and how you let it affect yourself. Those opportunities could be just as good towards changing your future.
Sometimes this feeling sneaks up on me and just knocks me down. It is also a feeling that has been my gauge for improving my life and finding value in it. This video by Improvement Pill portrays the idea of emptiness very well. I know the feeling and the 3 recommendations to keep it at bay are worth the investment of time.

Place the oxygen mask on yourself first before helping others. This phrase is a part of the safety guidelines at the beginning of every flight. And I understand the point. The lady sitting in the back of the taxi anxiously and repeatedly tells the taxi driver to hurry. The taxi driver points out that he is unable to progress any faster than he already has, as his way is blocked by long rows of traffic. She looks up and is alarmed to realize that the taxi driver is indeed helpless.
In a panic, she pleads with the taxi driver to figure out another route.
The taxi driver replies tartly, “But ma’am, if we take a different route, we will get at a different place.” Continue reading “The Paths We Choose”
