Twitter is a great space to share ideas fast. In the few months that I have been using it, I have created my own space there to check in for quick inspiration. So today, I thought I would share some of my favourite recent tweets and users that I have regularly followed. They serve as advice, reminders for my goals, sound reasoning, positivity, and more. Click on the twitter handles to see more from these users. If you are sharing inspiration on Twitter, WordPress or elsewhere, I do not want to miss out so leave a link below.

Is there any fact of life that you would have the comfort of knowing as certainly true? I recently read the book called What I Know for Sure by Oprah Winfrey. Naturally, right from the cover of the book, I put the question to myself: if anything, what would I say I did know for sure? After some thought, I realized that there were some facets of life that I would bet my bottom dollar on.
Take your time.
Do things right.
Love as much as you can, as often as you can.
Radiate vibrance, speak words of truth, live with joy.
Check out my new blog reads for this week and find a little advice and inspiration from my fellow bloggers.

Don’t be sad it left your life, be happy for having it and its sweet memories.
Don’t be jealous. If you want it, work for it and you could attain it too.
Don’t wait to be happy when you have it all. Feel it now.
Place the oxygen mask on yourself first before helping others. This phrase is a part of the safety guidelines at the beginning of every flight. And I understand the point. In order to be helpful to another, one has to be in a sufficiently good, stable condition his or herself when it comes to the issue at hand.

Growing up, I was hardly a happy child. Now, people tell me I am quite “peppy”. Happy to hear that. When I was asked what changed, I could not pinpoint a miracle moment or revelation that turned me towards positive change. Continue reading “Depression to Affirmation: What Changed?”
Little by little, life settles into a pattern and sometimes I don’t even realize the road I am travelling on. Then, one day, something just shakes me awake. I open my eyes and see what’s become the norm and wonder how I kept walking down this path so far, so blindly. I see the power that this new unwanted place has over me. Where did I go so wrong? How did I get here? The last I remember, I felt good and hopeful about where I was going and this was not that path. Continue reading “Lost and Found”
The lady sitting in the back of the taxi anxiously and repeatedly tells the taxi driver to hurry. The taxi driver points out that he is unable to progress any faster than he already has, as his way is blocked by long rows of traffic. She looks up and is alarmed to realize that the taxi driver is indeed helpless.
In a panic, she pleads with the taxi driver to figure out another route.
The taxi driver replies tartly, “But ma’am, if we take a different route, we will get at a different place.” Continue reading “The Paths We Choose”
I love what I do here! Living life is what this place is all about. Excited as I sound, life is less than perfect. But to me that just means I always have a challenge or vision to work for. I have expectations of myself. I want to rise up to make the best of every circumstance and find ways to achieve what I want. Even if it does not work out, it is comforting to know that I will not have ghosts of regret from my past because I did not try well enough.
Today, I decided to put together a throwback of the 5 posts I have published here that give me the most inspiration or make it real easy to foster productivity. Click on the pictures below to see my posts.
I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road. – Stephen Hawking

Thank you to Letters of Life for nominating me for this challenge.
I picked my quote for today from the journal I keep to collect these inspirational tidbits:
Life is short; live it.
Love is rare; grab it.
Anger is bad; Dump it.
Fear is awful; face it.
Memories are sweet; cherish it.
My quote for today is: Continue reading “3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge: Day 1”

Sow a thought, reap an action.
Sow an action, reap a habit.
Sow a habit, reap a character.
Sow a character, reap a destiny.
Stephen R. Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
One of my favourite quotes. It entices me to look at the big picture of life that I want and reminds me that it is the little thoughts and actions that will get me there. I have the thoughts; I just need to sow them well and feed them daily with good action. If I overlook my habits, I may not want to reap the results.
My last post was on August 4 so I have drifted from my personal goal of 2 posts a week. It has absolutely been one of the roughest months of my life (with some spill over into September that I am sadly still struggling with). I am hoping to be over these hurdles soon. I decided to be a little optimistic and walk away from these struggles with some reflection and lessons learned. It is easy to come up with motivational talk in my optimistic moments but my challenges, experience, determination, and frustration – the best and worst of me – all come from the worst moments.
