Welcome to rock bottom-the only way now is UP by a Dose of Inspiration
I am just suggesting that we rise above our fear, pain, struggles…and keep going. Keep moving up. Pro-act. Let’s not sink to the bottom and stay there. Do something. Whatever it takes. Whether it’s professional help, meditation, personal development books, exercise, gratitude practice…find something, do something, and just keep going. Continue reading “Power Posts: Inspiration”
This is your life, fight for it.
The book is a wonderful read so far. I am reading the truths that I think I need to hear from the variety of topics that are covered in 101 Simple Truths for a Better Life by Humble the Poet. Each of them is short, sweet, and impactful. Often, this genre does not enlighten us to profound truths that were the missing puzzle pieces preventing our lives from being more awesome They are really just some ideas that we know but forget and we need to be reminded of them again. Truth #72 Fight! was too good not to share:
I see my unrealized dreams and ambitions reflected in this story. I know that I do not want to be this person but I cannot confidently tell myself that where I stand in life is very different from the position depicted here.
Don’t be sad it left your life, be happy for having it and its sweet memories.
Don’t be jealous. If you want it, work for it and you could attain it too.
Don’t wait to be happy when you have it all. Feel it now.
I see online that a lot of us try to start the year off on the right foot, for whatever we may need to get our lives more in order. Here are some positive snapshots for the new year from the blogging community. We do not have to wait till January 1st to adopt these mindsets. Let’s try to remind ourselves and others more often.
Me..a year ago
It is that time of year again! Many of us are setting goals and pursuing them with more fervor than we have in any other month. Lines at healthy food places are longer. Gym attendance improves. Everyone is working hard on goals whether they are personal, professional, health or new life experiences.

Is there any fact of life that you would have the comfort of knowing as certainly true? I recently read the book called What I Know for Sure by Oprah Winfrey. Naturally, right from the cover of the book, I put the question to myself: if anything, what would I say I did know for sure? After some thought, I realized that there were some facets of life that I would bet my bottom dollar on.
“I’m not very creative” doesn’t work. There’s no such thing as creative and non-creative people. There are only people who use their creativity and people who don’t. Unused creativity doesn’t just disappear. It lives within us till it’s expressed, neglected to death, or suffocated by resentment and fear. The only unique contribution that we will ever make in this world will be born of our creativity.

Little by little, life settles into a pattern and sometimes I don’t even realize the road I am travelling on. Then, one day, something just shakes me awake. I open my eyes and see what’s become the norm and wonder how I kept walking down this path so far, so blindly. I see the power that this new unwanted place has over me. Where did I go so wrong? How did I get here? The last I remember, I felt good and hopeful about where I was going and this was not that path.
Travelling and seeing new places is wondrous, enjoyable, and insightful – with a lot of physical activity for me. But it can be hard on the routine and rest for some of us. As much as I wish I could have an awesome day as a tourist and still be zapped back to my own bed and bathroom at the end of the day, that is not about to become a reality. I was never a traveller in my younger years but, recently, I have enjoyed exploring. Personally, I do not know anyone who gets home sick as fast as I do. Continue reading “Hotel Like Home”
Take your time.
Do things right.
Love as much as you can, as often as you can.
Radiate vibrance, speak words of truth, live with joy.
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. – Marie Robinson
Even if you cannot change your past, everyday is an opportunity for you to change how to carry forward the past, what you make of it, and how you let it affect yourself. Those opportunities could be just as good towards changing your future.
Sometimes this feeling sneaks up on me and just knocks me down. It is also a feeling that has been my gauge for improving my life and finding value in it. This video by Improvement Pill portrays the idea of emptiness very well. I know the feeling and the 3 recommendations to keep it at bay are worth the investment of time.

Place the oxygen mask on yourself first before helping others. This phrase is a part of the safety guidelines at the beginning of every flight. And I understand the point.
