My mission: TO LEARN FROM, LOVE, AND LIVE LIFE! That is what I am here to share.
Here at Matters of Living, the objective is to know yourself and the world better. With increasing knowledge and complexity, there is immense opportunity and potential. This place is not about expertise; it is about asking lots of questions, making and learning from mistakes, and hoping to figure things out. This theme strives to appeal to the curious and unyielding spirit of readers who can share the mission with us.
The blog will bring you inspirational anecdotes, ideas, lifestyle, quotes, books, and more. With every post, Matters of Living will strive to bring a thought provoking idea or a good, relatable slice of life. I believe that life needs goals to strive for and their rewards to hope for. If you agree, you are in the right place. I encourage you to join this blog, visit often, and share plenty.
Here is a snapshot of everything you can find here:
Thought – The unexamined life is not worth living. – Socrates. I often go back and read my first post to remind myself why I started this blog. Just click on the quote and see.
Productivity – Don’t chase success; pursue excellence and success will follow. – Movie, 3 idiots. This piece of advice has not led me astray yet. So, excellence is the goal here and productivity is critical but I don’t forget to have fun along the way too.
People – I love mankind…it’s people I can’t stand. – Charles M. Schulz, Peanuts. Just kidding. The truth is that people hold a lot of power to impact your life and you have a lot of power to impact their lives. We can work together with that fact to help and empower each other.
Health – Love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle. – Unknown. There is no substitute for good health and we can do a lot to keep ourselves well.
Money – The goal isn’t more money. The goal is living life on your terms. – Chris Brogan. Let’s face it: we spend a lot of time earning or spending money. It is important to be smart about it and not let money rule you.
Knowledge – As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of darkness surrounding it. – Albert Einstein. A lot of adults stop learning and growing but developing your knowledge is fun and empowering; it is critical at every age.
History – In history, a great volume is unrolled for our instruction, drawing the materials of future wisdom from the past errors and infirmities of mankind. – Edmund Burke. The quote says it all. It can be quite fascinating to discover a different world from another time or place.
